Illustration poster for Documentary named “The Firemen”

This work is a poster drawing based on a real event. At about 3:00 on August 22, 2022, at the foot of Hutou Mountain in Chongqing, China, a fire swept over the whole mountain range. Because the fire was fierce, the weather was dry, and the fire spread very quickly. The mountain road was rough, and the fire trucks could not arrive at the scene on time. Then a group of off-road motorcycles spontaneously gathered to help the firefighters transport materials and the transportation of manpower. They kept busy for more than 12 hours a day for 4 days. Hundreds of motorcyclists participated in the disaster relief and became special heroes. Their story is bound to become a legend in China's firefighter history.

I finished the drawing with vague figures and lines, because it was in the midst of the fire. People can't see the faces of heroes, only their shadows and silhouettes. This is the way I pass on the ruthlessness of the fire and the fearlessness of the heroes.
